programme benefits

Prestigious Education

Winchester College is famous for its long history and academic excellence. CATALYST programmes provide students access to the rich heritage and high-quality nature of British education.

Critical Thinking

During the programme, pupils are encouraged to step back and think hard about the world around them. In doing so, many students will also step out of their comfort zone. At CATALYST, we think this is a good thing.

Individual Project

Students also take on individual Change Projects on a topic of their choosing. These projects are evidence of a student’s passion for a particular area, and demonstrate a number of important skills.

Feedback and Certificate

Every student who completes the program will get a certificate from Winchester College and a detailed transcript showing their performance. Outstanding students may also receive a recommendation letter from the College.

Global Networking

With a diverse student enrollment, CATALYST facilitates international networking, allowing students to connect with peers from various backgrounds, fostering global perspectives and cross-cultural understanding.

Interpersonal Skills

The CATALYST programmes are especially beneficial for students looking to develop confidence and interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and debate, among others.

Why CATALYST?

3 reasons to say yes

Change Projects

All pupils launch personal Change Projects to solve big issues that matter to them. They've tackled challenges ranging from providing energy in Ethiopian villages to improving legal services, and from advancing Cystic Fibrosis treatments to supplying art supplies in low-income areas.

Key skills

Pupils develop skills in project management, problem-solving, critical thinking, self-motivation and discipline, creativity, communication, and resilience. All pupils receive a thorough, personalised CATALYST Transcript evaluating their proficiency in these areas.

Curiosity

In a rapidly changing world, it's not enough to know facts; one must be equipped to dissect, analyze, and innovate — that's the promise of critical thinking. During CATALYST courses, pupils are encouraged to step back and think hard about the world around them.
